Jane Pires is the Land Access Ombudsman.
Jane was appointed to the role in 2018 and has also been Queensland’s Energy and Water Ombudsman since 2016.
She has more than 25 years’ experience in customer service, complaints management, mediation, conciliation, and dispute resolution, and holds an MBA majoring in dispute resolution.
Having grown up in a family business in rural New South Wales, Jane understands the complex and emotional nature of relations between business, industry and landholders, and the disputes that can arise.
Jane is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Ombudsman Association (ANZOA), the peak body for ombudsmen in Australia and New Zealand.
