Jane Pires is the Land Access Ombudsman.
Jane is also the Energy and Water Ombudsman for Queensland, a role she has held since December 2016.
She has more than 25 years’ experience in customer service, complaints management, mediation, conciliation and dispute resolution, and holds an MBA majoring in dispute resolution.
Jane is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Ombudsman Association (ANZOA), the peak body for ombudsmen in Australia and New Zealand.
Having grown up in north-west New South Wales, in a regional town where her family owned a small business, Jane understands how communities work and live together, and how changes to land and livestock can impact families and communities.
